Oxford Diocesan Schools Trust
What the brief was
Oxford Diocesan Schools Trust (ODST), a Multi-Academy Trust with 43 schools, required a system that could provide consistent pupil assessment tracking across all schools while allowing Trust leaders to maintain clear oversight. A key requirement was ensuring that assessment frameworks, reporting structures and data collection processes were aligned across the Trust.
Beyond the software itself, ODST needed a partner who could work closely with Trust leaders and school staff to ensure the system was configured appropriately and supported effectively as their needs evolved.
When the project was delivered
Insight has been in use across ODST schools since 2023, with ongoing collaboration, training and support continuing throughout the Trust’s use of the platform.
What we delivered
Insight provided a centralised tracking and reporting platform used by all 43 schools in the Trust. Working closely with Trust leadership, our team helped configure and standardise key aspects of the system so that schools were working consistently while still maintaining flexibility for local needs.
Our support team worked directly with Trust administrators to:
Configure Trust-wide assessment structures so schools could work within a consistent framework.
Standardise assessment periods across multiple schools to align with Trust reporting requirements.
Create reporting tools enabling Trust leaders to view data across all schools easily.
Deliver training sessions for headteachers and senior leaders to support adoption across the Trust.
Many of these configuration changes required coordination across multiple schools and were carried out directly by our support team to ensure they were implemented safely without disruption to existing data.
How our approach delivered exceptional customer service
Customer support is included as part of Insight’s subscription, and our team works closely with schools and Trust administrators to respond quickly to questions, configuration requests and training needs.
For ODST, this meant that when the Trust identified opportunities to improve how data was recorded or reported across schools, our support team implemented changes directly and guided staff through the process. This included making system-wide configuration updates across multiple schools and developing new reports to meet Trust leadership requirements.
This hands-on approach allowed ODST to centralise key elements of their system across all 43 schools without requiring additional consultancy services or internal technical resource.
Benefits to the client
The result has been a highly engaged Trust-wide implementation with strong feedback from school leaders.
Following Trust-wide training, the CEO described Insight as “transformational.”
Katie Screaton at ODST commented:
“People love it – it’s been transformational. Amazing feedback from everyone, especially governors. Support is excellent.”
By combining a flexible platform with responsive, collaborative support, Insight enabled ODST to establish consistent processes across 43 schools while ensuring staff felt fully supported throughout the process.
